The 72-year-old Dane takes charge of the Bula Boys following the resignation of Christophe Gamel back in August.

Flemming Serritslev during his time as PNG Head Coach.

It has taken the Fiji Football Association (FFA) some time, but finally they have found the replacement for Gamel.

Serritslev is a well-known name in the Oceania region, having coached the Papua New Guinea National Team for two years. During that time he guided them through a very successful OFC Nations Cup in 2016, finishing second.

FFA CEO Mohammed Yusuf said Serritslev is expected to arrive in the country on Sunday local time and then take stock of what he has to work with around the country.

Yusuf also said a contract has yet to be signed, but it is expected to be done shortly.

Flemming Serritslev has so far not responded to Football in Oceania’s request for a comment.
