Lae retain PNG throne
Lae City have won another Papua New Guinea National Soccer League title.
The win came last weekend as they beat surprise package Vitiaz United in the final.
On their way to their sixth consecutive title the boys in yellow only lost one match in the regular season of the Kumul Petroleum National Soccer League.
In the semi fina playoffs, goals from Abidas Aguirre and Emanuel Simon secured a 2-1 win over Gulf Komara.
In the final Vitiaz United were beaten 1-0 thanks to a Robert Obika goal.
