The tournament is being held in the Seychelles in Africa.

Tahiti were in a group with Chile, Senegal and Spain.

The first match was a real goal fest, ending in a 6-7 loss to the Chileans.

Two days later, Tahiti lost 3-6 to Senegal, before being sent home without a point, following a 3-8 loss to Spain.

This marks Tahiti’s worst ever performance at the World Cup stage, since their debut in 2011.

The 2025 edition also marks only the third time they have failed to get out of the group stage. The other two being their debut year, as well as 2019.

The quarter finals will see Belarus take on Iran, Portugal meet Japan, Senegal face Italy and defending champions Brazil taking on Spain.
