Silvestre joined English giants Manchester United from Inter Milan in 1999 and during his nine-year stay at Old Trafford played over 250 times for the Red Devils. He featured 40 times for the French national team. Silvestre also played for Arsenal and Werder Bremen.

The Fiji FA have a jam-packed schedule for Silvestre and want to have him teach football to children in Fiji.

“We have a big program set up for him while in Fiji. We want to have children mingling with Silvestre and having a session with him at Churchill Park in Lautoka,” The FFA President said.

Patel says they hope to bring legends to Fiji for years to come.

“This is the first legend we are bringing and next year we are looking forward to some other legends to come through and we will keep trying our best to bring the legends who have given football to the world.”
