The New Zealand women’s team now know who they’ll play in the 2023 World Cup.
The World Cup, which New Zealand will host with Australia, will take place in the summer of next year. But the draw for the group stage was done on Saturday.
New Zealand will open the World Cup in Group A, with a game against Norway. Also in their group is Switzerland and debutants Philippines.
The match against Norway will be played in Auckland, while Switzerland will be in Dunedin and Philippines in Wellington.
If Papua New Guinea make it through their playoffs, where they will first face Panama, they will be in Group F with powerhouses Brazil and France, as well as Jamaica.
