Eight teams to fight it out for Olympics spot

OFC Olympic qualifiers have been drawn.

The draw has been completed for the OFC Men’s Olympic Qualifying tournament to be held between August 27 and September 9.

Eight teams: American Samoa, Fiji, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tonga and Vanuatu have been drawn into two groups of four teams with matches played at Go Media Stadium Mount Smart, and The Trusts Arena.

Group matches will kick off at 12pm and 3pm NZT

The tournament’s opening match will be between Fiji and American Samoa, at Go Media Stadium Mt Smart on August 27.

The winners and runners-up of each group will progress to semi-finals on Wednesday August 6 at North Harbour Stadium at 3pm and 7pm NZT with the final to be played at North Harbour Stadium on Saturday September 9 at 7pm NZT.

The winner will represent Oceania at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.
