Solomons hire familiar name as Head Coach

The Solomon Islands Football Federation has hired Spaniard Felipe Vega-Arango as their new Head Coach.

The appointment was confirmed on the federation’s Facebook page on Monday.

“We are pleased to officially announced the appointment of Spanish professional coach Felipe Vega-Arango as the Solomon Islands national team coach and Head of the High-Performance department”, the statement said.

The Spaniard, who has previously been Technical Director for the Pacific island, has signed a three-year-deal with the nation, hoping to qualify for Qatar 2022.
