This year’s World Football Week, from May 21st to 25th, focused on helping kids being active.

Be Active is a global campaign by football’s governing body FIFA and the World Health Organization, encouraging children to move more – aiming for at least 60 minutes of daily activity for healthier, happier lives.

In Fiji the WFW was marked in Ba by an exciting 60-minute football session.

“The session focused on fun, fitness, teamwork, and promoting healthy lifestyles through football as children enjoyed learning new skills while staying active,” the Fiji FA wrote on their Facebook page.

The big day in WFW came on Saturday, May 23, at the Fiji FA Academy Ground in Suva.

Kids aged 6–17 years were invited to come along from 9am for a morning full of football, fun, skills, and exciting activities.

And more than 50 kids turned out for the event.

“Young participants enjoyed learning new football skills, playing games, and staying active as Fiji Football joined FIFA’s global campaign promoting healthy lifestyles through sport,” the Fiji FA wrote.
